every night you cry yourself to sleep
Jul. 23rd, 2013 08:44 pmlong work day is long. Arrived at the office around 8.30 but decided to wait around in 7-11 before officially timing in. The morning was spent reading this manual about sampling and other statistical analyses used at Nielsen and my reaction was "...pleasedon'ttellmeihavetodoallthisaaaahhhh" and got a temporary work laptop. The one that I'll eventually be using is still being used by the one I'm replacing and I think I'll get it next week or so.
Had lunch with my new team and suddenly having lechon on Thursday because they have some money that has to be used up by the end of the month. Didn't really understand how they got it but if today is any indication, and hopefully it is, I think I'll get along with my new teammates just swimmingly.
The afternoon, I was actually made to do some work already, ahahaha (charting + sigtesting). It's work I'm already used to but it's just a matter of getting used to the fact that it's a different version of Office I'm using, the data tables are presented differently, and the sigtesting file is different. It really just needs some getting used to anyway.
I need to get used to working with a PC keyboard layout, since I've pretty much just been exposed to my Mac. I kept pressing alt instead of ctrl, because of where the cmd button is. On another note, I feel like either my right foot is fat or the leather of my shoes just really needs to expand because I feel like my foot was being squeezed too tightly.
Tomorrow is no work day! Not because I'm eager to take a leave, but because of advanced plans of going to the DFA to have my passport renewed. Other than that, have to go to my old office to get the last of my requirements then going to the optometrist to get my new glasses.
